Overview — AnyStatus Desktop
AnyStatus Desktop is a lightweight Windows desktop application that aggregates metrics and events (builds, releases, service health, OS metrics, custom endpoints) into a single, customizable dashboard. It’s aimed at developers and SREs who want quick, at-a-glance visibility into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure without a heavy monitoring suite.
Key features
- Integrations: Azure DevOps/TFS, Jenkins, TeamCity, AppVeyor, Docker, SQL, REST APIs, custom scripts (PowerShell), and more via plugins.
- Widgets: Add configurable widgets/nodes for builds, services, endpoints and group them by project or team.
- Real-time updates & alerts: Visual (and optional audible) notifications and custom thresholds for failures or degraded states.
- Extensible: Plugin architecture and ability to create custom widgets or use scripts/REST calls.
- Lightweight & portable: Small footprint; available from Microsoft Store and as portable/installer builds.
- Licensing & code: Open-source project (GPL‑3.0) with source on GitHub.
Typical use cases
- Monitor CI/CD pipelines and build status on your desktop.
- Keep quick visibility on service health, uptime, and important endpoints.
- Run custom checks (scripts/SQL/REST) and surface alerts locally for fast reaction.
Limitations
- Not a full enterprise monitoring platform — less suitable for large-scale, centralized ops with advanced analytics.
- Some integrations require manual setup or scripting.
- Plugin ecosystem smaller than major monitoring vendors.
Where to get it
- Official project/page and releases on GitHub; downloadable from Microsoft Store and community download sites.
